Seminar Overview
The ACPO-APA 2008 seminars showcased innovative policing solutions and technologies developed by our international partners and in close collaboration with both public safety and law enforcement customers. Andrew Hawkins, the Global Public Safety and Justice Solutions Lead for Microsoft Corporation explains, "These busy sessions covered a number of key areas, including geospatial simulation, command & control, intra and cross-agency collaboration & communication, case & records management, intelligence & investigations.”

A popular session presenter in the Microsoft Seminar Theatre was Bob Hayes, former Head of the UK National Technical Assistance Centre and Assistant Chief Constable at Cambridgeshire Constabulary, who now represents the Microsoft Institute for Advanced Technology in Governments in the UK who presented a view into near-term emerging technologies of value to policing.  In addition a number of colleagues from Microsoft Corporation including Wayne Phillips, Andrew Hawkins and Tony Pellerin from Microsoft’s Worldwide Government Group, presented the Citizen Services Platform and Microsoft Intelligence Framework Initiatives.
